Quarantine rules threaten Wydad’s African dream

Wydad’s board of directors have sent an official letter to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, as the team will not be able to be quarantined for five days after returning from South Africa.

Wydad’s board also mentioned that the team will have to travel early to South Africa,  due to the dates of their games against Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Under the current regulations in Morocco, anyone returning from South Africa is required to be quarantined for five days, meaning that Wydad’s players will not be able to prepare for the second leg against the South African team in the CAF Champions League semis.
