Pogba explained after the match that Bryan was ‘a little boy who played for Juve, now struggling with cancer’.

“I had to score for him, this goal was for Bryan. I’m always with him and I will never leave him.

Pogba, who currently plays for Manchester United, sent a message to Bryan on social media after the tragic news.

“The saddest of news,” Pogba wrote on Twitter. “My thoughts and prayers are with all of your close ones. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I’ll never forget you.
