Pitso Musimani, coach of the first football team of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, confirmed his happiness to reappear in the Club World Cup, through the leadership of Al-Ahly, the champion of the African continent.
“We arrived here because we are the champions of the African continent, and we have strong confidence in ourselves and our players, and we are looking forward to achieving the best levels in the tournament,” he said at the match’s press conference, which was held by video conference.
He added: “We have spirit and determination, and we will not leave the stadium unless we are completely satisfied with what we will present to our great fans everywhere, and we are looking forward to the happiness of our fans, who support us strongly on all occasions.”
Al-Ahly’s coach assured that his team has full respect for the Qatari team, Al-Duhail, especially as it is a strong team and has distinctive elements, and has succeeded in achieving the title of the Qatari League championship, and will play the match at its stadium and among its fans, in addition to the fact that it has foreign players at the highest level.
Musimani stressed that the match would not be easy at all while stressing his confidence in Al-Ahly players, and pledging to do the best possible to achieve the fans’ aspirations.
While Mohamed El-Shenawy, captain of the first football team at Al-Ahly club, confirmed the team’s readiness for the Qatari match between Al-Duhail, to be held tomorrow, at the start of the team’s career in the Club World Cup.
Al-Shenawi said during the press conference: “We have big dreams and are happy to be in the major world championships at club level, which is something that calls for great pride.”
He added that Al-Ahly players have a strong determination to provide distinguished performances to reach the farthest point in the tournament to make the fans happy everywhere.
Al-Shenawi indicated that the support of Al-Ahly fans in the stadium, as well as the spirit of the red shirt, will be the best help for the technical staff and players in order to achieve a victory over Al Duhail.
He concluded his speech by saying: “We are very excited to play again in front of our fans in the stadium, and I see that everyone has a strong desire to win and successfully cross the first leg of the Club World Cup.”
