Moroccan Raja defeats Ismaily by 3-0 and rises to the final of the Arab Championship

Morocco’s Raja Casablanca qualified to the final of the Arab Clubs Championship Cup after defeating Ismaily by 3-0, in the match that was held Monday evening, at the stadium in Marrakesh.

Raja was able to compensate for his loss in Ismailia with a clean goal, to achieve a big victory with three goals, to set a date with the Saudi Jeddah team in the final of the Arab Championship, which bears the name of Mohammed VI, King of Morocco.

The first half of the match ended with the two teams tied without goals, amid continuous attempts by Raja players, to score goals, but Ismaili defense and goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi stopped looking forward to the repeated attempts by green eagles.

In the second half, the Ismaili team collapsed very strangely, and conceded three goals in a row, and did not appear as well as usual.

Raja managed to score the first goal, through Mohsen Metwally, in the 61st minute, from a penalty kick, after a fatal mistake by Mohamed Bayoumi, the Ismaili defender, who blocked Sufyan Rahimi.

In the 66th minute, the Congolese, Ben Malango, scored a wonderful goal after he took advantage of a cross from the right, to put him with a strong head in the net of Mohammed Sobhi, the Ismaili goalkeeper, announcing that Raja had advanced twice.

Ismaili tried to return to the match, but to no avail, thanks to the Moroccan defense force, and in the 87th minute, Mahmoud Benhalib scored the third goal, after he took advantage of a defensive error to turn the ball into the Ismaili net.
