Megahed critizies VAR implementation in Egypt

Ahmed Megahed, the president of the Egyptian Association of Football, has criticized the constant mistakes of VAR technology in the Egyptian Premier League. 

Megahed said that the operating company of the VAR technology has comitted a lot of mistakes, adding that it used unqualified equipments which provide low quality services.

Additionally, Megahed said that the EFA is set to terminate the contract with the current company in case they did not improve their equipments and services.

On a similar note, the head of referee committee, Wageh Ahmed said that the EFA decided to apppint local referee to officiate the upcoming Cairo Derby between Al Ahly and Zamalek.

Ahmed added that the EFA has full confidence in the local referees and this was represented by the performance and decisions of Mahmoud El Bana, who officiated the previous Cairo Derby which ended with a 2-1 victory for Al Ahly.
