MC Alger qualify to CAF Champions League quarters

MC Alger managed to secure their qualification to the CAF Champions League quarter finals after being held to a 1-1 draw against Esperance.

In the 31st minute, Esperance’s Nassim bin Khalil opened the score and gave his team the lead.

The minutes went on and in the 68th minute, Abdelnour Belkhir equalized the score and gifted his team the second ticket of the qualification.

On the other side, Zamalek thrashed Teungueth 4-1 in the final fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.

The White Knights were aiming to book a spot in the quarter finals, but they failed after MC Alger’s draw against Esperance.

Esperance are now at the top of table with 11 points, while MC Alger are in second place with 9 points and managed to secure their qualification.
