Al Itiihad’s defender Ahmed Hegazy could the Classico against Al Hilal as he will be forced to be quarantined for 14 days if selected for Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations qualification double-header.
Al Ittihad could be without their Egyptian star in the Classico, if Hegazy goes off on international duty in this month.
Egypt’s AFCON qualifying fixtures have been confirmed, as the Pharaohs are set to face Kenya on March 25 and Comoros in 29 March.
Hegazy was named in Egypt’s squad and if he participated with his national team, he could miss his Saudi team’s important game against Al Hilal.
According to the Saudi Arabian regulations, anyone who returns from a foreign country is required to quarantine for 14 days, which means that Hegazy will not be available for his team.
