Handball World Cup: Egypt tied with Slovenia and qualified to the quarter-finals

The Egyptian handball team went up to the quarter-finals of the World Cup after a 25-25 draw with Slovenia, in the match that was held today, Sunday, at the end of the Group D confrontations of the main round.

The Egypt national team played a big match, despite the Slovenian team’s superiority in some periods of the match, especially in the first half, in which the European team played with strong offensive ferocity and the brilliance of its goalkeeper, who confronted more than 7 goals for the Egyptian team.

In the second half, the Egyptian national team outperformed, and was closer to victory, as the two teams tied for the first time 15-15 during the 40th minute, and the Pharaohs almost snatched the victory, but Slovenia succeeded in snatching a tie a few seconds before the end of the match to end the match 25-25.

The World Cup Organizing Committee announced the selection of Yahya Khaled, the Egyptian national team player, as the best player during the match against Slovenia.

Yahya Khaled made a great effort over the two halves of the match and succeeded in proving his worth as one of the best Egyptian players in handball.
