General Sports Authority dissolves Al Nassr’s board
The Saudi Arabian General Sports Authority issued an official statement to dissolve Al Nassr’s board of directors on Sunday.
The decision came after the historic win of Al Nassr on Saturday, as they thrashed Al Batin 7-0 and achieved the greatest victory in the Saudi Professional League’s history.
In their statement, the General Sports Authority stated that the decision came due to the following:
– The constant absence of Al Nassr’s board members from attending the meetings, besides that the club’s president did not take proper actions towards the resignations which he received.
– The club’s president issued several individual decisions, which came against the institutional rules.
-The club’s president signed dishonored cheques which made the club liable to judicial claims.
– Overloading the club’s budget, which is contrary to the statutory requirements.
– Issuing official statements under the name of the club’s board of directors, without holding a meeting.
