Ettifaq achieved an important away victory over Al Fateh in the 20th week of the Saudi Professional League.
Ettifaq came from behind twice to win the game at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Sports City Stadium.
After 35 minutes of goalless draw, Tawfiq Buhumaid opened the score for Al Fateh, which was enough to secure a 1-0 lead for the hosts at half time.
In the second half, Walid Azzaro needed just two minutes to equalize the score.
Mitchell te Vrede took the lead again for Al Fateh in the 62th minute from the penalty spot but Ettifaq needed five minutes to equalize the score by Mohammed Al Kuwaykibi.
Ettifaq’s Tunisian attacking midfielder Naïm Sliti scored the winning goal for his team, 10 minutes before the final whistle.
Ettifaq reached 30 points to return back to the fifth position while Al Fatah stayed with 25 points in the 9th position.
