El Souma: Al Shabab deserved to win the match
Al Ahli Syrian striker Omar El Souma reflected on his team’s 3-0 loss to Al Shabab on Monday
in the 20th week of the Saudi Professional League.
El Souma said that his team did not deserve to win the match, adding that his team struggles this season, due to many problems inside the club.
“Al Shabab deserved to win the match and they did everything to secure the three points.”
“We do not have what we need to fight for the title. Winning the Saudi league title needs much effort from the club but the club did not provide even 25% of what needed to win the title.”
“Everything that we achieve is a result of the efforts of the team players and the coaching staff. The club is facing a difficult situation. It is not the club that I joined, it is a totally different club.”
“The league goes to the team that delivers what is needed to win the title. The circumstances surrounding the club do not make it easy for the team to focus only on the matches.”
