El Shenawy undergoes COVID-19 test
Al Ahly’s goalkeeper, Mohamed El Shenawy, did not attend his team’s training session on Monday after suffering a cold.
El Shenawy’ agent, Hazem El Hadidy, stated that the player will undergo a Coronavirus test in order to check on his condition as a precautionary measure.
El Hadidy added that El Shenawy will miss his team’s game against Al Nasr in round of 32 of the Egyptian Cup, as he will be suspended.
The Red Eagles suffer many absences during the current period. Al Ahly’s defender Yasser Ibrahim is sidelined after suffering an injury in hamstring muscle.
Also, Ali Maaloul is currently performing his rehabilitation program to recover from his injury.
Finally, Al Ahly are set to face Al Nasr FC in round of 32 of the Egyptian Cup on Wednesday.
