Coronavirus hits players and teams of the Saudi professional league

Xenia Sports – London

Coronavirus (Covid 19) cast a shadow over the clubs’ preparations in the Saudi Professional League before start the 5th round. The protocols and precautionary measures imposed by the Professional League in the Saudi League have contributed to reducing the spread of players’ infections with the infectious virus.

The Saudi League leader, Al-Hilal, misses his coach in the fifth round of the Saudi League in Derby, the capital, in front of Al-Nasr, as the coach will communicate with the players by phone before the match.

On the other hand, Al-Ahli Jeddah’s captain confused his team’s preparations when he failed to attend the last training of the team in preparation for the Al-Faisaly team, due to the players suffering from influenza and suspected of being infected with Coronavirus.

While the Al-Ahly team excluded the playmaker of the team, Idris Fattouhi after medical tests confirmed that he had been infected with the Coronavirus, while Al-Raed team missed the services of the team’s goalkeeper Ezzedine dizziness due to his infection with Coronavirus.

The Saudi Football Association requires clubs to conduct only one swab before each meeting, which includes players and technical and administrative staff, to ensure their safety, while infected players who have disappeared symptoms of the Coronavirus are not required to perform another examination before their participation in training and matches.
