Caf reached ES Setif, Algeria, by qualifying for the round of 16 in the Confederation

Algerian club ES Setif received an official letter from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) informing it of its qualification to the 16th round of the Confederation Cup at the expense of the Chadian Renaissance team.

 (CAF) informed ES Setif’s management that the club had actually qualified for the next round of the Confederation Cup, considering the Chadian Renaissance team withdrawing from the match.

And it was a strange incident that happened to ES Setif when he went to the stadium for its match against the Chadian Renaissance in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Confederation, but he found the stadium closed so that the referees team decided to cancel the match, and the observer submitted a report to CAF with all the details of the incident.

The incident began with the arrival of ES Setif at the Mohamed Idriss Oya stadium, which is hosting its confrontation against the Chadian Renaissance in the first leg of the 32nd round of the Confederation, to find the surprise by closing the door of the stadium.

The match refereeing team was in front of the gates of a stadium, in addition to the Algerian ES Setif team, to play the match on time, but after it was discovered that the stadium was closed, and after that, the refereeing team issued its decision to cancel the match officially.

The closure of the ES Setif and Renaissance stadium of Chad, due to the crisis that arose between the Minister of Sports and the Chadian Football Association recently, resulted in the absence of the Gazelle team to face Zamalek in the 32nd round of the Champions League.
