CAF Champions League quarter finals fixtures announced
Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the dates of CAF Champions League quarter-finals fixtures.
CAF stated that the quarter-finals of the competition will be taking place from 14 May.
First Leg
Friday 14 May 2021
MC Alger (Algeria) vs Wydad (Morocco)
Saturday 15 May 2021
CR Belouizdad (Algeria) vs Esperance (Tunisia)
Kaizer Chiefs (South Africa) vs Simba (Tanzania)
Al Ahly (Egypt) vs Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa)
On a similar note, CAF is reportedly discussing the implementation of the African Super League competition.
Patrice Motsepe, the president of CAF, was the first to discuss this idea, which also several clubs agreed to join the competition due to its big financial advantage.
Additionally, the competition’s structure will include the participation of 20, and they will be chosen according to the highest number of points in the last five years.
