Boca Juniors target Al Shabab’s captain

Argentine giants Boca Juniors aim to sign Ever Banega, captain of Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab, in the
summer transfer market, according to Xenia Sports sources.

Banega, who joined the Saudi side in January 2020, is the first-choice target for Boca’s head coach Miguel Ángel Russo, who sees Banega as the best successor for the club’s legend Juan Roman Riquelme.

According to our sources, the Argentine giants will try to convince Banega to return to La Bombonera, where he started his professional career.

However, Boca Juniors should prepare themselves for complex and difficult negotiations with Al Shabab as the player is committed to the Saudi club to 2023 summer.
