Benzarti decides to extend the Wydad camp in Marrakech

Faouzi Benzarti, coach of the Moroccan Wydad Casablanca team, decided to extend the team’s camp in Marrakesh, to next Sunday, instead of the previous date, which was scheduled for Thursday.

The Moroccan “al-montakhab” newspaper revealed that Benzarti decided to open the way for the new players who joined the camp, to better adapt to their teammates, as it seeks to increase coherence and harmony between all players, in preparation for the new football season.

Benzarti had decided to cancel the friendly match against Olympique Safi, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday morning at the Grand Marrakech Stadium, and Wydad will play its first friendly match next Wednesday, and it will be his first in the current camp, which he started last Tuesday.

It is noteworthy that Wydad ended last season in second place behind Raja, who won the 12th tournament in its history. Moroccan Wydad deposited the African Champions League semi-final championship after losing (5-1) by Al-Ahly of Egypt in the total of the home and away matches.
