Benoun, Salah Lead Al Ahly to Defeat Ismaily 2-0

Al Ahly sealed an important victory tonight against Ismaily SC, as the Cairo giants managed to win the game 2-0, thanks to goals from Badr Benoun and Salah Mohsen. 

During the second half, Ismaily had the upper hand as they managed to dominate the game with an impressive performance. With 10 minutes on the clock, Ismaily missed a dangerous scoring chance as Nageb’s header went over Mohamed El Shenawy’s bar. 

The second half kicked off with the Red Eagles pushing forward to score the opener. Al Ahly’s first chance came, as the Nigerian winger Juniro Ajayi shot a ball from the range, but it went away from the target. 

In the 72nd minute, Al Ahly was awarded a penalty as a result of Ismaily’s keeper Mohamed Magdy late challenge against Mohamed Sherif. Al Ahly’s Moroccan defender Badr Benoun netted the opener from the spot to give his team the lead. 

The minutes ticked by, and in the 88th minute, Al Ahly’s striker Salah Mohsen bagged the second goal after an impressive sprint and clinical finish to make the result 2-0. 

Al Ahly are currently in second place with 27 points while Ismaily are in the sixteenth position with 10 points.
