Başakşehir could be Sassi’s future destination

Zamalek’s Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi received an offer from Istanbul Başakşehir to join them in the next summer for free.

Mohanad Oun, the player’s agent, said that the player prefers to stay at Zamalek If the club succeeded to offer him an agreement that meets his financial demands.

Oun said that the player did not receive an official offer from the Turkish club till now.

Zamalek officials want to renew the player’s contract but they believe that they can not accept his financial demands as the player wants 2 million Euros per year tax free.

This means Zamalek will pay 3 million Euros per year to keep Sassi at the club, which the club’s interim board rejected.

However, Zamalek officials are still in negotiations with the player after he confirmed that he did not sign contracts with Qatar’s Al Duhail or any Turkish club. The player said that his agent has entered into negotiations with Arab and European clubs but he did not decide his future destination yet.

On the other hand, the White Knights are preparing for their upcoming match in the league against Wadi Degla in the 14th week of the Egyptian League.
