Arabian Gulf League: Al-Jazeera defeats Al-Wahda … and Shabab Al-Ahli tied with Al-Dhafra

Al-Jazira team achieved an important victory over its counterpart Al-Wehda, with two clean goals, in the ninth round of the UAE Football League competition.

The pride of Abu Dhabi succeeded in achieving a precious victory over Al-Wehda in the match that was held at Mohammed bin Rashid Stadium, and Al-Jazira goals scored by Khalfan Mubarak in the 38th minute and Ali Mabkhout in the 62nd.

With this result, Al-Jazira raised its score to point 20, to continue to occupy a second place by only three points, ahead of Sharjah, the leader with 23 points, while Al-Wahda’s balance is frozen at point 14 in eighth place in the ranking table.

In another confrontation, the match between Shabab Al Ahly in Dubai and Al Dhafra ended in a goalless draw.

Shabab Al-Ahly raised its score to point 14 in seventh place, with a goal difference from Al-Wehda, while Al Dhafra raised its score to point 12 in tenth place.

 While Bani Yas achieved a big victory over his host Hatta, with 3 goals, scored by Suhail Al Nubi, Joao Pedro, and Sasha Ivkovic.

Baniyas ranks fifth with 16 points, while Hatta continued his poor results to bottom the competition ranking with one point in the fourteenth and last place.

In the last match, which was played on Friday evening, it was between Khor Fakkan and Ittihad Kalba, and it ended with a two-goal victory for Kalba.

Khorfakkan scored a goal by Ramon Lopez in the 29th minute, and Pinel Malaba scored the equalizer in the 65th minute, while David Mariani snatched the winning goal four minutes before the end of the match.

Ittihad Kalba raised its score to point 16 in fifth place, while Khor Fakkan stuck to point five, in 11th place.
