Al Suairi’s late goal secures a victory for Al Faisaly over Al Ahli

Al Faisaly completed a sensational comeback to defeat Al Ahli 2-1 on Saturday in the 21st week of the Saudi Professional League. 

Al Ahli had a strong start to the match and Omar El Souma missed a clear chance to score in the 16th minute of the match. 

Also, Sultan Mandash missed another scoring chance in the last minutes of the first half. 

The referee awarded Al Ahli a penalty in the last minute of the first half but El Souma missed the penalty after a fantastic effort from Al Faisaly’s goalkeeper Mustafa Malayekah. 

Mandash opened the score for Al Ahli in the opening minutes of the second half by a shot from inside the box after receiving a beautiful pass from Abdelrahman Gharib to put his team in front. 

El Souma had two clear chances to double the score but Malayekah continued his amazing performance in the match and stopped the two chances. 

In the last 10 minutes of the match, Al Faisaly powered forward in waves of attacks  to equalize the score and they got what they wanted in the 82th minute after the referee awarded Al Faisaly a penalty, which Julio Tavares converted to make the score 1-1. 

Al Faisaly secured a last-minute victory by Mohammed Al Suairi  who put the ball in the back of the net to win the match for his team. 

Al Faisaly reached 29 points in the seventh position after achieving the third win in a row while Al Ahli stayed with 35 points in the third position.
