Al Shabab hammer Al Batin to regain league lead

Al Shabab achieved a comfortable 4-1 victory tonight over Al Batin in Matchday 25 of the Saudi Professional League. 

Al Shabab dominated the game since the beginning, as Ever Panega opened the score in the seventh minute. 

The pressure went on and in the Cristian Guanca doubled the score to make it 2-0.

Al Batin tried to comeback and in the 28th minute, Mohamed Rayhi scored his team’s only goal of the game. 

Three minutes later, Banega completed his Brace and managed to visit Al Batin’s net for the second time to make it 3-1.

The second half kicked off and Al Shabab upped their pressure to score another goal. 

Guanca was in a good run of form and managed to put his name twice on the scoring sheet,  as he netted the fourth goal in the 49th minute. 

Al Shabab jumped to the first position with 48 points while relegation battle rs Al Batin stayed in the 13th position with 28 points. 

On the other hand, Al Fateh pulled an impressive comeback against Al Batin and secured a 3-2 victory. 

In the 19th minute,  Al Faisaly’s Julio Tavares opened the score. However,  Al Fateh’s Qasim Alawjami equalized in the 23rd minute. 

The second half started and in the 50th minute, Hicham Faik gave Al Faisaly the lead again. 

Al Fateh continued their pressure and in the 68th minute, Mitchell te Vrede equalized, before Christian Cueva score the winner in the dying seconds of the game. 

Al Fateh reached 34 points in the eighth position after today’s win, while Al Faisaly stayed in twelvth position with 30 points.
