Al-Merrikh are held to a goalless draw by Simba

Al Merrikh of Sudan were held to a 1-1 draw against Simba of Tanzania in Matchday3 of the CAF Champions League.  

Al Merrikh’s players kept trying to score the winner,  but all their chances were blocked by Simba’s defense.

Al Merrikh are currently at the bottom of group A as they collected only one point from three games,  while Simba reached 7 points and cemented themselves in the first place. 

On a similar note, Cairo giants Al Ahly are set to face AS Vita Club of Congo on Saturday. 

The Red Eagles are keen to achieve an important victory tonight, in order to qualify to the quarter-finals.
