Al-Ittihad writes history in Jeddah derby

Al-Ittihad Jeddah achieved an important victory over its traditional rivals Al-Ahly with a score of 2-0 today in the third round of the Saudi Professional Football League at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.

Al-Ittihad succeeded in its history book in the meeting after achieving its first victory against Al-Ahly, 8 years after the team’s last victory in 2012.

 Al-Ittihad advanced the result early, through Brazilian Romarinho, in the eighth minute, to consolidate the score for his teammate Rodriguez in the 18th minute, to give their team the first victory in the competition from 3 rounds, and its score becomes 4 points in seventh place, while Al-Ahly has stuck at 6 points in sixth place.

The meeting witnessed the depute of ex-defender of West Bromwich Ahmed Hegazy for the first time with his newly transferred Al-Ittihad team.
