Al Ittihad keep their league hopes alive by defeating Abha

Al Ittihad achieved an important 2-1 victory over Abha to keep pace on the Saudi Professional League title race.

Al Ittihad took the early lead, as Alexander Prijovic netted the opener in the 7th minute.

Abha tried to equalize the score and managed to achieve their target, as Saleh Al Amri leveled the score from the spot in the 35th minute.

Al Ittihad pushed forward to score the second goal, and in the 42nd minute, Abdelalah El Malki gifted his team the winner to seal three precious points. 

Al Ittihad are currently in third place with 50 points, while Abha are in the 12th position with 34 points.
