Al Ittihad came from a one goal behind to secure a comfortable 4-1 victory over Al Qadsiah
on Sunday in the 21st week of the Saudi Professional League.
Carlos Andrea opened the score for Al Qadsiah after 31 minutes from the start but Al Ittihad managed to equalize the score by their Serbian striker Aleksandar Prijović before half time.
In the second half, Prijović missed the chance to put his team in front after missing from
Ziyad Al Sahafi added the second goal for Al Ittihad in the 65th minute while the Serbian striker Prijović overcame missing the penalty by adding the third and fourth goals for Al Ittihad.
Al Ittihad added the fifth goal minutes before the final whistle but the referee disallowed the goal after checking VAR.
Al Ittihad jumped to the third position on the league table with 35 points while Al
Qadsiah stayed with 29 points in the 8th position.
