Al-Duhail defeats Ulsan to finish fifth in the Club World Cup

The Qatari club Al-Duhail was crowned fifth in the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, which is being held in Qatar, after defeating the Korean Ulsan Hyundai 3-1, in the match that was held this evening, Sunday, at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.

Edmilson Jr. scored the first goal in the 21st minute of Ali Karimi, while Pet Garam Yoon scored the equalizer in the 62nd minute of the match, while substitute Muhammad Muntari added in the 66th minute, and Al Moez Ali Zain Al Abidine added the third goal in the 82nd minute.

The meeting witnessed a historic event for the first time with the management of a women’s refereeing team for a match in the FIFA Club World Cup, and this was led by Brazilian Edina Alves Batista and assisted by Brazil’s Noza Pak and Argentine Mariana de Almeida.

Al-Duhail, who is participating as the host nation’s league champion, thus reaps fifth place, while Ulsan Hyundai finished sixth.

On Monday, at 8 pm, the match between Al-Ahly and Bayern Munich will be held in the other semi-final match.
