Al-Dawsari saves Al Hilal against Al Raed

Al Hilal defeated Al Raed 2-1 on Friday in the Saudi Professional League at Prince Faisal Bin Fahd Stadium. 

Al Hilal starting-line up of the match consisted of Abdullah Al-Mayouf – Yasser Al-Shahrani – Jang Hyun-soo – Ali Al-Bulaihi – Mohammed Al-Breik – Amiri Kurdi – Abdullah Otayf – Salem Al-Dawsari – André Carrillo – Luciano Vietto – Bafétimbi Gomis. 

Al Raed starting line-up of the match consisted of Azzedine Doukha – Hussain Al-Showaish – Nemanja Miletić – Abdullah Al-Fahad – Mohammed Al-Dossari – Arnaud Djoum – Sultan Al-Farhan – Abdullah Al-Mogren – Ahmed Al-Zain – Marko Marin – Karim El Berkaoui. 

Al Hilal dominated the game since its beginning, and they missed a lot of scoring chances in the first half, but Al Raed’s keeper managed to keep his net clean. 

In the second half, Al Hilal kept their pressure and in the 56th minute, Al Shahrni netted the opener from a marvelous effort to give his team the lead. 

The minutes went on and Al Hilal kept their dominance, but in the 64th minute, Bulaihi received a red card which forced his team to continue the game with 10 men. 

In the 70th minute, Al Raed’s Karim Al Berkaoui scored the equalizer from a penalty to make the result 1-1. 

Al Hilal upped their pressure in order to score the winner, but Al Raed’s keeper Doukha stood his ground and managed to block all the dangerous balls away from his net. 

However, Doukha’s brilliant performance did not last until the end, as Al Hilal’s Salem Al-Dawsari scored the winner in the 90th minute as a result of his mistake. 

Al Hilal reached 42 points and are currently in second place, while Al Raed stayed at 13th place with 25 points.
