Al Ahly’s Mohamed Mahmoud is close to join the team’s full training

Al Ahly’s midfielder Mohamed Mahmoud is close to return to his team’s full training after recovering from his knee injury.
Al Ahly’s Medical staff announced that Mahmoud will be back in action starting from April, as he underwent a succesfull surgery on his knee.
Despite that Mahmoud has fully recovered from his injury and became ready to join his teammates once again, Al Ahly’s Medical staff preferred to make him finish his rehabilitation program in order to avoid any occurrence of the injury.
On a similar note, Al Ahly’s midfielder Mohamed Magdy Afsha was named the best player in the fourth fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Afsha won the award following his superb performance against AS Vita Club on Tuesday, as he led the Cairo Giants to achieve a brilliant 3-0 victory over the Congolese team at Stade des Martyrs.
Afsha participated in 5 games in the African competition this season, and he managed to score two goals and provided one assist.
Additionally, Al Ahly are keen to renew the contracts of Ali Maaloul, Amr El Soulia, Salah Mohsen, and Junior Ajayi as per request from the team’s head coach Pitso Mosimane.
Mosimane wants to keep them with the team after their impressive performance with the Red Eagles during the last period.
