Al Ahly’s Hamdy Fathy undergoes successful injury

Al Ahly’s midfielder, Hamdy Fathy, underwent successful surgery on his elbow.

Hamdy was injured during Egypt national team’s game against Kenya in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Al Ahly’s head of the medical committee, Dr. Mohamed Shawqy, stated that Fathy will be rested for 48-hours and then he will start performing his recovery process normally.

Dr. Shawqy also said that Fathy will join the team’s full training after fully recovering from his injury.

Dr.Shawq concluded that the Tunisian defender Ali Maalouo will return to the team next April, while Karim Nedved will be back in action following Al Merrikh SC’s game.

Also, the team’s defender Mahmoud Metwally will be ready to participate with the team after two weeks.

On a similar note, Al Ahly’s goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy has reportedly refused an offer from an English club, who wanted to sign Al Ahly’s captain in the next summer.
