Al Ahly were held to 2-2 draw against AS Vita Club

Al Ahly were held to a 2-2 draw tonight against AS Vita Club of Congo in Matchday3 in the CAF Champions League group stage at Cairo International Stadium. 

AS Vita Club’s Glody Makabi scored the opener in the 41st minute, as he followed-up the ball and managed to put it in Mohamed El Shenawy’s net. 

However, Al Ahly managed to pull an impressive comeback in 2 minutes, as Mohamed Sherif equalized the score in the 69th minute, and then Marwan Mohsen scored the second goal in the 71st minute.

In the 80th minute, the Moroccan referee Rédouane Jiyed gave AS Vita Club a controversial penalty kick, which Ricky Tulengi managed to score to make the result 2-2. 

After today’s game, Al Ahly are currently in third place in group A with 4 points, while AS Vita Club are in second place with 4 points.
