The Egyptian Al-Ahly administration, headed by
Mahmoud Al-Khatib seeks to solve the crisis of the Angolan wing Giraldo da
Costa, which has become outside the accounts of the technical staff of the
first football team led by Pitso Mosimane, and who informed the planning
committee of the ball of the need for his services.
Al-Ahly had removed Geraldo from the local list,
and registered Zambian Walter Bwalya, the team’s striker, who joined the team’s
ranks during the current winter transfer period, coming from the ranks of El
Gouna, for $ 2 million.
Al-Ahly made an offer to the Angolan player, to
keep him on the waiting list until the end of the season, in exchange for his
monthly salary and then market it next summer, and the second offer is the
possibility of terminating the contract by mutual consent in exchange for the
value of his dues for the current season only and not for the remaining period
of his contract.
Giraldo wants to obtain all his remaining
financial rights for the two and a half seasons, which are estimated at one
million and 450 thousand dollars, which is rejected by the Al-Ahly club
management and the previous offers were presented to him, especially in light
of the player’s procrastination and his refusal to leave Al-Ahly so far.
On the other hand, an official source inside
Al-Ahly club denied that there were any new negotiations with the South African
Sun Downs regarding the contract with the Uruguayan winger Gaston Sereno.
And the source said, that everything that is
reported about the existence of negotiations regarding a reciprocal deal with
the departure of Nigerian Junior Ajay, Al-Ahly striker, to Sun Downs, in
exchange for the inclusion of Sereno and payment of money is totally untrue.
He added that Al-Ahly closed the contract file
with Sereno in the current winter Mercato, due to the fictional demands of Sun
Downs, which reached 5 million dollars, in order to abandon the 30-year-old
wing, stressing that Al-Ahly’s offer stopped at 2.5 million dollars and will
not be increased at all. The negotiations are completely closed for the time
