Al Ahly qualify to Egypt Cup round of 16

Al Ahly secured a spot in the Egyptian Cup round of 16 after defeating Al Nasr SC on Wednesday at Alexandria Stadium.

The Red Eagles dominated the game from the beginning, despite that the team’s head coach Pitso Mosimane rested a lot of his main players ahead of Cairo Derby. 

In the 47th minute, Walid Soliman opened the score from a half volley after a slack defense from Al Nasr players . The second half kicked off and Al Nasr managed to level the score, thanks to Ahmed El Saidy’s efforts in the 54th minute. 

The Red Eagles upped their pressure and in the 83rd minute, Walter Bwalya scored the winner to gift his team the qualification.
