Al-Ahly opens its campaign in the Egyptian League with a big victory over al-makasah

Al-Ahly, the holder of the Egyptian League, opened its campaign in the premier league with a victory over its Egyptian counterpart, Al-Maqsat, 3-1, in the match that was held on Sunday evening, at Al-Salam International Stadium in Cairo.

Al-Ahly got the lead with a goal in the fourth minute through Ali Maaloul from the penalty spot, but Marwan Hamdi, the Egyptian Al-Maqsat striker, managed to equalize four minutes before the end of the first half.

In the second half, Al-Ahly dominated the match, and the referee canceled Mohamed Sharif’s goal, under the pretext of an offside in a controversial shot.

Al-Ahly players pressed strongly on the defense of the clearing Egypt, to score the goal of progress, as a dangerous opportunity arose for Badr Bannon inside the penalty area for those who shot it outside the posts and the crossbar despite the attempt to electrify the ball boxes.

In the 64th minute, Kahraba missed a goal opportunity after a cross from Maaloul on the near post, which Al-Ahly wing kicked outside the goal, but a minute later, Kahraba returned to score the goal for Al-Ahly after  VAR confirmed the correctness of the goal, after it was counted offside at the start of the game.

Al-Ahly midfielder Amr Al-Soulia scored the third goal in the 86th minute after a wonderful cross from Maaloul, to end the match 3-1.

In the second match, Al-Masry tied against Al-Ismaili in the Derby Al-Qanat, without goals in the match that was held at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.

The two teams made a strong game over the two halves of the match, but the brilliance of defenders and goalkeepers resulted in a goalless draw.
