Al-Ahly leaves to Niger to face Sonideb .. Corona hits the team

The first team of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club left for Niamey, the capital of Niger, to face Sunideb, next Wednesday, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League.

The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, decided to assign Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of the football apparatus, to head the delegation of the first football team heading to Niger, after the medical swab revealed that Mohamed Al-Damati, a member of the board of directors, had been tested in Corona, and he was supposed to head the team’s mission.

Meanwhile, Sayed Abdel Hafeez, Al-Ahly Football Manager, announced that the players : Rami Rabi’a, Amr Al-Soulia, and Mohamed Magdy Afsha are not on the team’s squad to Niger, due to the positive medical swabs for the three and confirmed that they had Corona.

This is in addition to Betsu Musimane, the coach, who suffered the same infection days ago, as the Corona virus struck the red team, before the first African confrontation in the new version of the African Champions League.

While the technical staff of the team announced the list of the team traveling to Niger, and it included: Muhammad Al-Shennawi, Ali Lotfi, Mustafa Schubert, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Mahmoud Wahid, Yasser Ibrahim, Mahmoud Kahraba, Hamdi Fathy, Muhammad Sharif, Ayman Ashraf, Badr Bannon, Aliou Dieng, Salah Mohsen, Ali Maaloul, Ahmed Yasser Rayan and Akram Tawfiq, Geraldo, Muhammad Hani, Taher Muhammad Taher, and Muhammad Shukri and Saad Samir.

Al-Ahly’s squad to Niger departed by a private plane at 2 pm on Sunday, to face the Sunideb team next Wednesday.
