Al Ahly deny rumors of Afsha, Benoun departure

Amir Tawfik, Al Ahly’s head of Marketing and Transfers, denied all the rumors of receiving any offers for the team’s midfielder Mohamed Magdy, known as Afsha.

Tawfik stated that Afsha did not receive an offer from Scotland’s Celtic F.C to move to the Scottish team starting the next summer.

On a similar note, Al Ahly’s head coach Pitso Mosimane refused the departure of the team’s Moroccan defender Badr Benoun in the next season.

Mosimane stated that Benoun is one of the team’s key players, and he will not leave the team any time soon.

Moreover, Mosimane refused to sign Talae’a El Gaish’s winger Ahmed Samir. Mosimane stated that he wants to sign a foreign winger, and he recommended several players to the club’s planning committee from Brazil, Peru, Argentine, and Venezuela.

Finally, the Red Eagles are currently preparing to face Simba SC of Tanzania in the final fixture of the CAF Champions League group stage.
