Al-Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has been tested positive with the Coronavirus

The Egyptian Al-Ahly Club announced that its South African coach, Pitso Musimani, was infected with Coronavirus “Covid 19” and transferred to a hospital in the capital, Cairo, in order to receive the necessary treatment, in accordance with the protocol of the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

Coach Pitso Musimani showed symptoms of Corona, and a medical examination was conducted for him, and he was confirmed to be infected with the Coronavirus, as well as his wife, who is with him in Cairo now.

Pitso Musimani will conduct a new medical scan in the coming hours, in order to determine his health condition and the extent of his response to the treatment he is currently undergoing, after the club’s medical device preferred to transfer him to the hospital for health isolation.

Musimani will miss Al-Ahly’s next match against Ghazl El-Mahalla, which will take place next Friday in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League 2020-2021.

The South African coach has also become threatened not to travel with the Al-Ahly mission to Niger, which will leave this weekend to Niamey to face Sonideb, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League, scheduled for December 23.

Musimani took over Al-Ahly leadership last October, coming from the South African Sun Downs club, where he signed a contract with the Cairo team for two seasons.
