Al-Ahly Bank imposes a goalless draw on Al-Ahly in a strong confrontation in the Egyptian League
Al-Ahly Bank club succeeded in snatching a valuable point from Al-Ahly, after a goalless draw, in the match that was held this evening, Sunday, at Al-Max Stadium in Alexandria, within the eighth round of the Egyptian Premier League matches 2020-2021.
The match witnessed an intense attack from Al-Ahly players, who raced to miss opportunities, during the two halves of the match, and Al-Ahly Bank defenders shined in keeping their nets clean during the match.
Al-Ahly player Walid Suleiman suffered a connective muscle injury to leave the stadium in the middle of the first half, and replace him, Zambian Walter Bwalya, who missed two confirmed changes during the match.
The referee canceled a goal in favor of Al-Ahly in the 58th minute of the match, under the pretext that he had jumped on the opponent after he played the ball with his head inside the net of Al-Ahly Bank.
With this result, Al-Ahly raised its score to point 17, at the top of the Egyptian league standings, and the National Bank team raised its balance to the eighth point in ninth place.
In another match, El Entag El Harby tied Smouha with one goal for each, in the matches of the same round.
Mustafa Al-Badri scored the goal of Al-Entag Al-Harbi in the 13th minute of the match, while Hossam Hassan, the Smouha striker, managed to equalize in the 79th minute.
With this result, Military Production raised its tally to the fifth point in the sixteenth place, while Smouha’s balance became 8 points, tenth in the Egyptian league table.
