Al-Ahly club was crowned champion of the Egypt Cup for the 37th time in its history, after defeating Al-Talaa El-Geish on penalties, in the match that was held this Saturday evening, at the Burj Al Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
The original and extra time ended with a 1-1 draw, so the two teams resorted to penalty kicks, which smiled at the owners of the red shirt and succeeded in achieving the precious victory.
Al-Ahly was able to achieve the hat trick after being crowned champion of the Egyptian Premier League 2020, then the African Champions League, and finally the Egypt Cup.
Al-Ahly had advanced with a goal scored by substitute Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, in the 65th minute of the match, while Nasser Mansi managed to equalize in the 90+ minute 6 of the match.
The two teams resorted to extra time, and the match also ended in a positive draw, and penalty kicks were used, which Al-Ahly players decided in their favor after they scored 3 goals and wasted two kicks, while Talaia Al-Jaish players wasted three penalties.
