Al Ahli top their Champions League group stage

Al Ahli Saudi managed to defeat Al Shorta of Iraq 2-1 on Saturday in Matchday 4 in Group C of the AFC Champions League group stage. 

Omar Al Somah gave Al Ahli the early lead after netting the opener in the fifth minute. 

However, Al Shorta managed to level the score in the 26th minute, thanks to Fahd Youssef’s efforts. 

The minutes went on and Al Ahli upped their pressure. 

In the 79th minute, Abdulrahman Ghareeb bagged the winner to gift his team three precious points. 

Al Ahli are currently sharing the top of their table with Al Duhail, as both of them have 7 points from four games.
