Abdelhafiz: We did not negotiate with Zamalek’s Zizo

Al Ahly Director of Football Sayed Abdelhafiz denied all the rumors related to Al Ahly negotiating with Zamalek’s Ahmed Sayed, known as Zizo.

“Al Ahly’s coaching staff did not ask to sign any player from Zamalek, and these rumors are wrong.”

“Kahrabawill not return to the team’s full training in the next week. The coaching staff decided to rule him out for a month and we fined him 200,000 EGP as a result of his actions.”

“Mosimane is the only one who can decide Kahraba’s return to the team’s training. He is a good player, but he must be committed just like his teammates.”

On a similar note, Al Ahly’s captain Mohamed El Shenawy commented on Al Ahly’s 3-0 victory over DR Congo’s AS Vita Club in Matchday 4 of the CAF Champions League group stage.

“Before traveling to DR Congo, we promised that we will travel to Kinshasa only to win to continue the journey to defend our African title.”

“We managed to score three goals against AS Vita Club in difficult circumstances. The game was held in very hot weather, high humidity, and on artificial turf.”

“However, we sealed a precious victory and managed to deal with this difficult situation, thanks to the coaching staff’s effort, led by coach Pitso Mosimane.”

“We defeated a tough opponent away from our home ground. We still have two remaining games to play against Al Merrikh SC in Sudan and Simba SC at home and we have to win them in order to qualify to the next round.”

“We are currently focusing on the upcoming challenges, as our celebration ended at the moment we left Stade des Martyrs.”

“We aim to win more titles in the future to please our fans, who were always supporting us.”
