Saudi Dakar Rally Organizing Committee reveals details of its new route

The organizing committee of the Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia announced today through a “virtual press conference” from Paris, the final details of the rally track, with the participation of Prince Abdulaziz al-Faisal, Minister of Sports of Saudi Arabia, President of the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, Prince Khalid al-Faisal, President of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation of Saudi Arabia, Ceo of Amory Sport “Jan Luminer” and Director of the Dakar Rally “David Castera”.

The details of the all-new route for the Saudi Dakar Rally 2021, which will be held for the second year in a row on the territory of the Kingdom from January 3 to 15, 2021, were revealed and will start from Jeddah province, to travel a distance of 7646 km, length, and width. Desert and topography of the Kingdom, passing through Bisha and Wadi Al-Dawaser, then Riyadh, Buraida, Hail, Skaka, Nium, Ala and Yanbu, all the way to the finish line in Jeddah again on January 15, and the race will be interspersed with a day for the comfort of drivers and teams participating on January 9th in Hail.

He added: “The first version of the Dakar Rally Saudi Arabia last year showed the beautiful nature of our country with its beautiful scenery, vast deserts, and historical landmarks, in a racing experience like no other, and in this new version will be a different version in all its forms and unique and a different path, for the contestants and spectators to live a new experience will not be forgotten.”
