Al-Ahly of Egypt reveals the fate of Aliou Badji

The management of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club rejected the idea of recovering a number of loaned players during the current winter transfer period, after the numerous public demands that the brilliant Ammar Hamdi Al-Maarar should return to the Al-Ittihad Alexandria team.

Amir Tawfiq, director of contracts at Al-Ahly, said that the club’s football management had not originally proposed the return of loaned players, stressing that the technical staff led by Pitso Musimani refused to restore some other elements, in order to give them the opportunity to participate with local clubs in the Egyptian Premier League championship.

Al-Ahly is going through a major crisis, after a large number of players were infected with the Coronavirus during the recent period, in addition to other infections that hit the team’s ranks, and many players were absent because of them.

On the position of Senegalese Aliu Badji, Al-Ahly Contracting Director said that he had completed the procedures for loaning the player to the Turkish team Ankara Gojo for a period of 6 months, in exchange for 250 thousand dollars, and there is a clause that gives the Turkish club the right to buy a contract with paying 2 million dollars at the end of the season.

Al-Ahly had succeeded in concluding a new deal during the current winter of Mercato, after hiring Walter Bwalya, the professional Zambian striker for the El Gouna team, who signed an official contract for the next 4 years.

Al-Ahly is seeking to join two new deals in the right-back position and the playmaker, in light of the team’s need for a new pair in these two positions.

Al-Ahly tied with Wadi Degla without goals in the match that was held between the two teams on Friday evening, in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League championship.
