Ammar nets late equalizer as Al Shabab draw against Al Qadisiyah

Al Shabab’s Turki Al Ammar saved his team and snatched a 1-1 to Al Qadisiyah in the dying minutes of the game in the 22nd week in the Saudi Professional League.

Al Shabab starting line-up for the match consisted of Zaid Al-Bawardi – Mohammed Salem – Hassan Tambakti – Ahmed Sharahili – Moteb Al-Harbi – Alfred N’Diaye – Hussain Al-Qahtani –  Éver Banega – Cristian Guanca –  Fábio Martins – Odion Ighalo. 

Al Qadisiyah starting line-up for the match consisted of Faisel Masrahi – Hamad Al-Yami – Uroš Vitas – Rhys Williams – Ibrahim Al-Shoeil – Khalifah Al-Dawsari – Edson da Cruz – Hussain Al-Nattar – Danilo Asprilla – Stanley Ohawuchi – Leke James. 

Al Qadisiyah’s forward Stanley gave his team the lead as he scored the opener in the 45th minute. 

In the second half, Al Shabab kept trying to return in the game, but Masrahi managed to block all the chances to keep his net clean.

However, Ammar saved his team in the dying minutes of the match, as he bagged the equalizer from a screamer to make the result 1-1. 

Al Shabab are currently at top of the SPL table with 45 points, while Al Qadisiyah reached 30 points in ninth place.
